Racing
Start Seminar - Information and Registration Form
We have a great "first of its kind" Roger Bertin
Educational Seminar scheduled for Saturday May 10, 2008.
The seminar will consist of one hour of land instruction to be followed by an
afternoon of actual race starts with captain and crew.
How it will work…
1) Skippers bring your entire crew to the land based lecture and instruction
11:00 am at the Samalot Marine Store Sail Loft.
2) At noon all participants will head to their boats and out to the Bay.
3) At 1:00 pm racing starts will began. George Samalot will be ferried from boat
to boat after each start. He will work with each skipper and crew over the
course of the afternoon to put theory into practice. Each boat will have one to
two starts with George onboard.
Whether you are seasoned racing veterans or not we guarantee that your boat will
have better starts after this seminar.
Don't need the help, please join us anyway so we have enough boats to simulate
realistic starts. We are hoping to have 10 boats on the water plus Ladies Choice
as committee boat.
This is a great opportunity for the club and we hope you take advantage of
George's expertise.
