A year after losing our dear friend Mike, family and friends joined Kristi to plant a tree (right) in his honor and memory. We miss you Mike!!

Michael Hinchman, age 60, of Mahwah, died April 21, 2007 at Nyack Hospital. Born in Michigan City, IN, he was a resident of Somerville, NJ for 10 years before moving to Mahwah 9 years ago. Michael was Rear Commodore on the Board of the Hudson Cove Yacht Club, Haverstraw, NY. He was also a member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church and was dedicated to the church’s program that serves the homeless. Survived by his wife Kristi Droppers, his sons Jay M. Hinchman and his wife Sylvana of Boca Raton, FL and Christian L. Hinchman of Marlboro, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Warwick Conference Center (a Christian camp that serves children with special needs) PO Box 349, Hoyt Road, Warwick, NY, 10990.

Founded in 1984, the Hudson Cove Yacht Club is dedicated to the support of yachting and associated programs for its members. The club encourages good seamanship and fellowship through racing, cruising, social and educational activities for both sailors and power boaters. 

Our club is located at the Haverstraw Marina on the west shore of the Hudson River in West Haverstraw, New York.
